If Tiramisu and Tres Leches had a baby, this would be it. Your next entertaining dessert is right here my friends. The recipe is fairly simple , this is a very large platter and I have used 2 pounds cakes just to give you a rough idea. You can divide or multiply the recipe accordingly!
You’ll need :
2 pound cakes ( I used Sandra Lee , frozen)
1 can evaporated milk
1 can condensed milk
1/2 cup whole milk
2 teaspoons Instant coffee dissolved in 3 tablespoons of boiling hot water
For the whipped cream topping:
2 cups of Heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon coffee dissolved in 1 tablespoon of boiling hot water (please cool this )
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Crushed heath bars for extra toppings!
Directions:
Cut and arrange the pound cake in your dish, I have cut in 3/4 inch slices ( a little on the thicker side). Make sure the platter is evenly layered with cake.
Make a mixture of evaporated milk, condensed milk, whole milk and coffee and drizzle over the cake.
Make the whipped topping by beating the heavy whipping cream in a bowl , after soft peaks form, add sugar , coffee and vanilla extra. Whip a little bit more until easily spreadable with a spatula.
Evenly distribute the whipped topping over the cake and topped with crushed candy of your choice !
Enjoy!
