Mango Ginger Mocktail




I don’t know about y’all but I’m ready for warmer weather, flip flops, green grass and summertime drinks such as this one. This Mango Ginger Mocktail is the perfect combination of fruity, fizzy and summery (grammar mistake?).

This recipe will yield 3 to 4 drinks depending on the size of your glass.

Ingredients for Ginger Simple Syrup:

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 inch piece of peeled and slightly smashed ginger

Directions:

  1. Boil the above ingredients until sugar is completely dissolved and then let the ginger steep in it for 15 minutes . I personally love it gingery (grammar mistake again?). If you like a less pungent flavor, let the syrup sit for a couple of minutes.Then strain it.

For the Chili Sugar Rim:

  • A lime/lemon wedge

  • 2 tablespoons raw sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Mix together sugar and cayenne pepper in a flat bowl / plate. Coat the glass rim with lime/lemon and then coat with sugar and chili mixture.

Ingredients for the drink:

  • 2 cups Mango juice/nectar

  • juice of 2 limes/lemons

  • prepared ginger simple syrup

  • 1 bottle of club soda/soda water

  • lots of ice

Directions:

  1. Mix together Mango juice, lime juice and simple syrup and distribute in glasses. Fill glasses with Ice and then pour over your preferred fizzy water! Enjoy❤️
