Nutella Brownie Skillet

These are intensely fudgy , delicious and super easy to fix. What are y'all waiting for ? Go make these.

I have used two 6 inch skillets to make these but you can multiply the recipe by 1 & a half times to make in a standard ten inch skillet. If you don't have a cast iron skillet, these can be made in ramekins for individual servings, you will have to keep an eye out for the doneness in ceramic dishes.

What you'll need:

  • 3/4 cup butter + extra for greasing the pans

  • 1 & 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup good quality Cocoa powder ( I always use Dutch Processed Cocoa )

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 1/4 cup Nutella

  • Sea Salt

  • Chocolate chips(optional)

Directions:

  1. Grease the skillets with butter generously and preheat your oven to 330 ℉ .

  2. In a large bowl add softened butter and brown sugar and beat on high with hand mixer until well combined and creamy.

  3. Now add the eggs and Vanilla extract and beat on high until fluffy.

  4. Add all the dry ingredients, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and mix with a spatula until smooth. Don't over mix the batter.

  5. Warm the Nutella for 20-30 seconds in the microwave until warmed through.Divide the batter, into four. Transfer 1/4th of batter in one skillet. Spread it with a flat spatula. Put two tablespoons of Nutella and cover with 1/4th batter. Sprinkle with Chocolate Chips and some sea salt.Repeat with the second skillet.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream. Optional but SO good.
